About Stephen

Taking pictures from 13 years of age in Vancouver, Canada with a pre-World War II camera his father gave him was the beginning of a long love affair. After a brief period as a professional TV and Stage actor he returned to the other side of the  camera following a TV series in Vancouver. Black and white landscape photography saw him compared to Ansel Adams. Two years as an assistant in a leading Vancouver studio which shot everything from weddings to cars to hockey games gave him huge experience; then shooting professionally in Vancouver, Japan and onto Australia from March of 1994. In Brisbane he worked with several photographers before going out on his own again. He has won multiple awards from the AIPP and WIPM for his commercial and portrait work but decided to shooting weddings as the studio’s staple diet because he loved it so much.

Stephen has a warm, natural easy way with all his clients, their family and friends which allows him into their hearts and homes to create the special images that every couple treasures so much. His award winning portfolio spans many genres of photography but the one he loves and for which he is most recognised is his wedding images.
